Artist Bio

Mando Marie (b. 1980) is an American contemporary artist
known for her blend of nostalgia and modernity, achieved
through her distinctive stencil techniques. Her paintings and
murals create hauntingly beautiful scenes that evoke mystery
and childhood wonder, featuring ghostly, childlike figures and
animals that blur the line between innocence and eeriness.
Inspired by vintage children’s books but with a modern twist,
Marie’s work explores themes of memory, identity, and the
passage of time. Raised in Colorado and educated at the
Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design, she began her
career in the street art scene, which has profoundly influenced
her style.
Marie’s art, characterized by meticulous stencil work and
repetition, has been exhibited in galleries and museums
across the U.S. and Europe, including The Museum of
Contemporary Art in Denver and Kallenbach Gallery in
Amsterdam. Her public murals in cities like Miami, Amsterdam,
and London have also garnered significant attention.
In addition to her gallery and street art, Marie has
collaborated with various brands and publications. Despite
her international acclaim, she remains based in Colorado,
where she continues to live and work.
Through her art, Mando Marie creates a dreamlike world that
challenges perceptions of reality and imagination, inviting
viewers to explore the power of imagery to evoke emotion
and tell compelling stories.
