Artist Statement

My studio practice tends to stretch the boundaries of abstraction. As I work, I integrate firsthand observations and thoughtful responses to the natural environments, cultures, and stories of the locals I meet when traveling.

My creative process incorporates the mediums of printmaking, encaustic, sculpture, painting and textiles. There are times when two or three of these mediums overlap to make a work.

Rich narratives integrated into my work reflect the beauty of nature and humanity.
